It’s Friday!! *dances around a bit like crazy* Ok, now that’s out of my system 🙂 Guys! I am so happy to say that this week went SO much better than last week! Whatever funk was going on that set me into a weird space, it’s over for now. I’m back on doing a little bit more intense workouts, back to creating, just back in general. Maybe I just needed a break, but whatever it was, I’m glad it’s done with. Did you have a great week?! I hope so 🙂
Another thing that got done this week other than my workouts is both pups went to the vet for a checkup and their shots! Crystal did better than Achilles, since he is a big baby…He actually got stuck hiding under a chair in the waiting area! He tried to stand up while under it and well…he is taller than the chair, so suddenly it was on top of him! Freaked him out a bit, but he’s ok. And he did well for the rest of the visit!
I also found a lot of great articles this week, including a few from new-to-me blogs! Enjoy!
Slow Cooker Beef Meatballs with Broccoli Rabe from Skinnytaste
Avocado Grilled Cheese from Damn Delicious
Beef and Broccoli from Gimme Some Oven

5 Things That Help Relieve Stress from Passion Themed Life – You all know that I think it’s super important to take time for self-care. Learning what things help you relieve stress and actually doing them is part of that! Also…I really want to go camping again. It keeps coming up lately and I never really realized how much I miss it. And I need to read The Miracle Morning already 🙂
Everything You Need to Know to Plan the Perfect Picnic from Jill Conyers – Some of you might have seen that having a picnic is one of the things on my 101 Things list. To be honest, planning for one kinda intimidates me. I know that is really silly, but it does. I will be keeping this post in mind when I plan one for Draz and I in the future!
10 Ways to Truly Switch Off from A Girl, Obsessed – It can be easy to forget in today’s world some of the ways to switch off and recharge yourself. This list is a great starting point!
Rapists Don’t Just Live in Dark Alleys from Bitchy But Bubbly – I’m sure that all of us have been hearing about the Stanford rape case and are outraged. I know I am! This is a great post that touches on that, but also talks about the misconceptions of the “typical” rapist in general, from the viewpoint of a prosecutor. Definitely worth the read!
Fitness and Health
Training for Your Goals from Sweat, Stretch, Eat – I love this post from Bridget for so many reasons! When I went through the “start and stop cycle” of my fitness journey, I honestly had no goals in mind (For the backstory of my journey, check out this post). It wasn’t until I really started forming them at all that I made much progress. And as those goals have solidified (and changed!) over the past couple of years, my drive and focus on my fitness has changed too. And recognizing how your goals affect your training is so important.
Shape Up: What Is The Best Time of Day to Work Out? from Lauren Conrad – This is a great read, especially if you are weighing the pros and cons of morning vs afternoon workouts. Me, I love a good morning workout!…but I have a really hard time waking up, so some of those turn into afternoon workouts. But I keep trying for those morning ones anyways!
Reader’s Request: 8 Tips for New Runners from Eat, Spin, Run, Repeat – Running has always kinda intimidated me, especially any sort of marathon-ish running. But at the same time, it kinda fascinates me. I really want to love to run. I just have a hard time getting started in a habit. Not to mention with me being accident prone, it makes me appropriately apprehensive too haha! But one of the goals on my list is to run a 5k. So when I do eventually start training for that, this is a post I will definitely keep in mind!
Why You Need to be Doing Virtual Races from Run to the Finish – This week seems to be all about the running, doesn’t it? Maybe it’s a hint for me to step up my game 🙂 I never gave virtual races much thought, but I really like the sound of them! Maybe that 5k could be a virtual one the first time?
5 Tips to Help Manage Emotional Eating from Organize Yourself Skinny – Emotional eating was something I struggled with a lot and still do struggle with sometimes. In fact, it’s something I dealt with a lot the last couple of weeks (doing better now), so the struggle never really goes a way entirely. But these tips definitely will help manage it!

UHeart Organizing: Tips for a Fabulously Productive Workspace from iHeart Organizing – My workspace is something I desperately need to work on improving. I think I will be taking a lot of the tips from here to make it better!
DIY and Art
1960s Radio Cabinet Makeover from Re-fabbed – This is just too gorgeous! I love how she did this. I’m hoping to go to a couple places soon that sell stuff like this originally was. This gives me some great ideas. And reminds me I really really need to try chalk paint.
Arranging Faux Flowers to Look Real from Pretty Handy Girl – Her arrangement looks so pretty! I can’t wait to give this DIY a try! Flowers and me, faux or real, don’t seem to really get along. Maybe this will help!
You SPRAY PAINTED that? from Re-fabbed – Y’all know how much I love spray paint. But some of these ideas I never would have thought to try! I can’t wait to do a few of these!
Blogging and Business
A Dead Simple Way to Write a Creative Bio from The Middle Finger Project – As always, insightful and funny all at the same time! Bio are hard y’all. And this post frames them in a way I NEVER thought of. I love the idea and will be thinking over a way to incorporate this into my own bios!
That’s it for this week! What were some of your favorite links from the week? I would love to check them out!
